Do I have to pay anything upfront?

If you want to pay upfront, you can! Or you can split the amount over 24 or 36 months – whatever works for you.

How do I pay?

You can pay via Direct Debit – the simplest, safest and most convenient way to make regular or recurring payments. It means you don’t have to worry about missing your GAPInsure payment, especially when on holiday, at busy times of the year, or in fact doing anything more enjoyable than thinking about bills! Your bank or building society will offer the Direct Debit Guarantee, which means that if, for example, there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit, you will be notified, normally within 10 working days, before your account is debited. If you request a payment to be collected, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request. If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by the organisation or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society. (If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when the organisation asks you to.) And unlike a standing order, with Direct Debit, you can cancel at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required – and please let us know, too.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes! There are a couple of conditions, though – please check the policy documents or speak to one of our expert advisers on 0800 138 8333.

If you cancel the policy within 30 days’ receipt of the policy documentation, or the commencement date, whichever is later, you are required to provide notice to us.

If you cancel the policy after 30 days’ receipt of the policy documentation or the commencement date, whichever is later, you are required to provide notice to the administrator on 024 7699 7620, at Administration Office, Global Insurance Management Limited, 7th Floor, Eaton House, 1 Eaton Road, Coventry, CV1 2FJ or cancellations@globalim.co.uk.

If you cancel this policy after the first 30 days of the receipt of the policy documentation, or the commencement date, whichever is later, and no claims have been made, you will be entitled to a pro rata refund for the complete unexpired months remaining of the policy after the deduction of our administration fee of £30 + VAT. If a claim has been made there will be no refund of premium.

What’s the minimum I can pay each month?

There is no minimum payment – the price is based on the total premium divided equally by the term of your policy. 24 or 36 months for a Return to Invoice Advance GAP Insurance or 24, 36, 48 or 60 for Contract Hire GAP Insurance.

Are there any charges for credit?

We don’t finance our product through a credit agency so there are no hidden fees.
